Photo 15 was from August 2009, a brunch reunion for Gatlinburg Summer Project 2002 at our house. And a send off for Ginger to join staff with Mercy Ships. This was Morgan, Ginger, and Amber. Amazing women who I'm incredibly thankful for.

Weekend to Remember

God knows just what we need. Over a month ago, I got a text from a friend who had registered for a Weekend to Remember conference in Charleston from Dec 3-5. They couldn't go anymore and were offering to give us the tickets. For free. We accepted but knew it would be a challenge to get the time off. But it worked out, in ways we didn't expect.

Matt is God's gift to me, and I have missed him over the last year and a half. This weekend was an amazing time for us to focus on our marriage. Just to re-prioritize and remember that our marriage really should be more of a priority.

We didn't stay at the hotel and didn't do all of the homework and maybe skipped a session that was a little too early on Saturday morning after being up really late. But we still learned SO much and were so thankful for the weekend.

AND we ran into some friends from Charlotte and got to have lunch with them which was nice too!

Thanks, Ben and Jacq for the tickets! God used this weekend for us!

If you are married, I highly encourage you to do Weekend to Remember or something similar. God's plan for marriage is the best. Let us know if you have any questions.

Random Photo, Take 15

Take 14 was March 2008. Laura came out to Texas to visit us during her Spring Break. While we were at the dog park with Nala, she was playing with some huskies. The owner of the huskies pointed out that he had some puppies in the small dog park, so she went over to that side. Needless to say, she purchased one of those adorable blue-eyed fur balls and dubbed him 'Keto'. He stayed with us in Texas for a week until we flew home to Charleston for Dad's wedding. This was the day when my sister met her Keto! :)

Christmas Photo Shoot

Valerie has a good friend who has started doing photography. If you've seen any of Valerie's fun 'Diva' pictures, they're done by Melissa Breeland. I love her stuff because it's so different.
Well, she is getting started in her business so did a special of holiday photo shoots for $35. Matt and I got to do it on Wednesday night. It was fun but a little bit awkward as photo shoots normally are. We had some cute outfits for Nala, but she didn't cooperate very well. She was a little distracted by the new environment and the dog that she could hear on the other side of the studio door. :) Anyway, wanted to share this video that Melissa made of the best pictures. I think it's cute though there are a couple of pics I would have left out. What do you think?
