Friday morning started with his kids showering him with lots of food, including a huge cake! Then, at flag time, the whole school sang "Happy Birthday" to him, another teacher with the same birthday, and 3 students! The most we've ever had on the same day.
It was a normal school day, other than some cake thrown in. During a break that Matt and I had together, we came home and played Wii for a little bit. That was a nice change... definitely better than grading papers or planning which we should have been doing. Matt and I both tutored after school.
After tutoring, we went over to our friends' house for dinner, birthday cake and game night! We probably would have done the dinner and game night thing anyway, but it was fun to have an extra reason to get together... and to eat yummy cake.
